It’s important to take leadership of the pack. You as the owner must show your leadership and authority with confidence. Training for aggressive dogs is a two way development. You must be able to command your dog and not fear your dog. If your dog senses that its owner is incapable of defending and protecting the pack, it may try and assume the position by challenging you.
Dog training for aggressive dog behavior should start early. By teaching your puppy good habits from an early age you have set a positive path of development. Reward your puppy when it is behaving well. If your puppy is doing something bad, refrain from physical punishment; make a loud noise like a clap to distract its attention.
Knowing how to treat aggressive dog behavior is vital in your dog’s development. You may also want to consider neutering your dog, which is often effective at reducing aggressive behavior.
Training for aggressive dogs significantly reduces the chances of them attacking or killing. It’s important that training begins at the earliest sign of aggression to ensure that your dog begins to develop positive new habits and lose negative ones.
